This project was started during the end of the taught part of my masters. It was originally simply a forum to display my photographs, this idea growing from my photos being included in a University exhibition. However, the site was great fun, and I soon realised I had learnt a good deal of HTML and was creating a ever-growing site.
After starting my dissertation, which looked into Russian Foreign Policy between 1992-1996, I realised that I needed to do something to keep me sane, and prevent me from viewing writing as only an academic pursuit And so became "Life's History", which I hope you have visited or will stop there next.
I continued to update the site, and use it mainly to reach a specialised audience of mainly people I knew, worked or studied with. To this end the infamous "stag night tour" was born (although is only accessible through discrete links), and various other mini-projects for people. I also dabbled briefly with money-making spins off (something to develop more when time allows - although buy Amazon through me!) and other information, such as links or Russian FP resources on the web.
After finishing my dissertation, I departed for Russia for about a month. This takes us now almost up to date, although I have now developed my site further (giving it, I hope a smoother feel, although I am never perfectly happy, and constantly tweak here and there), using Dreamweaver, Flash (although my introduction titles are best only viewed with a high speed connection), and of course the staple of the Internet, Adobe.
Okay, so this was a bit misleading saying "who are we", because I am obviously not 'we' and there is not much info here beyond that about me relating to my site. But Hey! it got you here...
Thanks for visiting. Come back soon. Bring your friends.
